By means of a Durham gravity-slide sampler located in central Cebu City about 30 m. above ground level, pollen was sampled from January to December for three consecutive years (1986-1988). The pollen spectra with reference to the five most common pollens consist of Graminae, Morus alba (mulberry), Casuarina equisetifolia (agoho), Artocarpus heterophylles (nanka) and Veitchia merrillii (Manila palm). Other trees include Syzygium samarangense (makopa), Muntigia calabura (aratiles), Psidium guajava (guava), Pterocarpus indicus (narra), and Cassia spp. The non-trees included Mimosa pudica (makahiya), Pilea microphylla (gum powder plant) Mimosa invisa (makahiyang lalake), Amaranthus spinosus (urai) and Cyperus spp. (Author)
